I initially questioned the statement “Your bathroom floor is likely the surface in your life that you spend the most time looking at,” since I don’t spend all that much time in there. But after some thought acknowledged that it is probably the only surface I “look” at, just by itself, since with every other surface I look at I am more engaged with what I am doing on the surface than the surface itself. So even though I am “looking” at kitchen counters and desktops way more often than bathroom floors, I don’t really “see” those surfaces, except maybe when trying to sponge a spot out.
